With Father’s Day approaching, no doubt many of you will be joining me in a mass Google as we desperately look for ideas for treating that special man in our lives. So far, I’ve found a T-shirt which makes light of his flatulence and a magnetic screwdriver.
BUT, I have a little something up my sleeve! I’m planning a trip to Dairyland for all the family on Sunday (19th June). As well as keeping the little ones happy all day, there’s also lots of interesting ‘Dad stuff’. From vintage tractors and farming implements from history, there’s also the heritage museum which the men in my family find utterly fascinating. PLUS it’s free entry for Dads with every paying child on the 19th June, so a brilliant value day out too!
Of course, happy children = happy grown-ups so we know it’s going to be a stress-free day, making life-long memories. If the weather’s iffy we can head indoors to wear them out in the Bull Pen, ensuring that when we get home at the end of the day, we can relax and enjoy a glass or two in celebration! I might even pretend to enjoy the football!
